The Art of Botanical Perfume at The Alchemist Kitchen
Join us at The Alchemist Kitchen in SoHo on Friday November 21st at 6-8:30pm to learn the art of Botanical Perfume making, leave with one or two unique scents you can take home or gift to loved ones for the holidays.
Learn to blend your own custom botanical perfumes, using decadent, healing aromatics made of flowers, woods & roots! We will experience several botanical essences, and how they interact with each other. We will cover the basics of aromatherapy, materials, perfume notes, accords and blending techniques. One hour will be dedicated to creating your own perfume oils to take home, with guidance from an experienced perfumer. Beginner & intermediate students are welcome in this fun, hands-on workshop.

Irina Adam is a NY based natural perfumer, artist and educator. Inspired by cross-sensory experience, connection with land and plants, deep ecology, storytelling, and just plain flower crushes. Self taught in natural perfume since 2010, Irina also trained with Mandy Aftel. She apprenticed with local herbalists for several years while working in ethnobotany research at NY Botanical Garden, where she gained exposure to myriad cultural and therapeutic uses of plants.
Phoenix Botanicals perfumes have twice been nominated finalists in the International Art & Olfaction Awards. Irina has led botanical perfume workshops at Flower Power Herbs & Roots, Arbor Vitae, NY Open Center.
